The Plastics For Change India Foundation was set-up in September 2019 with a vision to formalize the informal plastics recycling sector and provide a holistic intervention program for one of its key, yet most vulnerable, stakeholders - informal waste collectors. The foundation engages in sustainable and scalable interventions to deliver it’s programs and achieve lasting impact. It's services include financial inclusion, social inclusion, education, healthcare, nutrition, training & awareness, empowering women, recycling infrastructure and low cost shelter.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Marketing Strategy: Develop a strategy for Plastics For Change India Foundation’s newly created social media platforms, in order to boost engagement and grow our following.

2. Asset Development: Work with our social work team to collect assets of the foundation’s work in informal waste collector communities.

3. Content Creation and Design: Create content for our social media channels - including research and drafting blog posts/social media posts.

4. Media Outreach: Reach out to Media Outlets and Journalists to bring awareness to the work of the foundation.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Understanding and experience in using social media tools (analytics and content management)

• Experience in content creation - written and visual - preferred.

• Undergraduate degree in Marketing preferred, but open to current students as well.

• General knowledge of social & environmental concepts and methods. 

• Fluency in English a must, knowledge of Kannada useful.
